About Kinsale

Perfectly positioned at the start of the Wild Atlantic Way, perched on the edge of the harbour, there is nowhere else quite like Kinsale.

Kinsale feeds your spirit, and your soul, and helps you connect to community, nature and adventure. In Kinsale, nature is on full display. Visiting dolphins, seals, magical phosphorescence and other sea life grace our shores.  Unplug, escape and reconnect with nature and explore the outdoors by land or by sea.

This historic town is famous for its colourful homes, tasteful street art, and breathtaking scenery.  It’s a place where cobblestone streets and heritage buildings meet trendy bars, art galleries, boutiques, and award-winning eateries.  It's no surprise that Condé Nast recently named Kinsale as one of the ’20 Most Beautiful Villages and Small Towns in Ireland’.

Rare

Chef Meeran Manzoor draws upon his wealth of global culinary expertise to create a menu that is both innovating and surprising, while maintaining the integrity of the produce.  He marries french cooking techniques with flavours from his hometown in Chennai, India using fresh, local ingredients.  He describes the menu as hyper-seasonal - his commitment to using only local ingredients at their peak of freshness pushes him to constantly update the menu.  No two visits to Rare will be the same!

Recommended in the Michelin Guide, Rare is an exciting culinary experience.
